VISTA CENTRE operates a fully supervised, wheelchair accessible, long term residence for persons who have sustained an ABI. Individuals are encouraged to maintain an independent life style, with support and supervision being provided in such areas as activities of daily living, accessing community resources and socialization. Supervision is provided by a staff of fully trained counsellors, 24 hours a day. Residents are responsible for their food and shelter costs.
VISTA CENTRES Supported Independent Living (SIL) Program offers individuals who have sustained an ABI, with the opportunity to fully participate in their community, by providing support in their own environment. The SIL Program encourages clients to establish and direct their own services, with support from the SIL Counsellors being offered at the lowest possible level of intrusion. Maintenance of existing support systems is encouraged. VISTA CENTRES Day Program is a social leisure, community integration and skill development program for individuals who have an ABI. The program encourages participants to develop leisure lifestyle skills, broaden their community awareness, improve self esteem and develop social relationships. Programs and activities are designed with participant input. Intake and assessment required.
